The RealPresence system was the result of a new product branding initiative for Polycom. Polycom is a leader in Video conferencing and prides itself on producing the highest quality products. In recent years the video conferencing market has become crowded with low cost products.  Instead of reducing quality to be competitive, Polycom looked to differentiate itself by delivering a superior user experience.  The UX team and I were tasked with developing a design strategy that would reflect the quality of the product from the first moment of engagement. Our goal was to deliver a solution that harmonized hardware and software into a desirable and intuitive experience.  Polycom, with its superior product technology, allows people to feel closer and stay engaged longer. This is critical in the enterprise space where clear efficient communication is essential to making the right decision. 

The Polycom RealPresence Group Series includes: HD codec, EagleEye acoustic camera, Polycom Group Microphone Array, rechargeable remote, and an intuitive on-screen UI.

As the User Experience Team Manger, my role was to recruit and mentor a multi-disciplined team that included user research, prototype engineering, and UX design.
