LAUNCHED 2014 - 2015

Samsung Sports Live is a TV service that puts fans in control of relevant sports data and content whenever a live sporting event is airing.  The service uses Automatic Content Recognition, (ACR) to detect sports broadcasts. The viewer can then use the remote control to bring up relevant supplemental content as bite-size information.  The Live TV broadcast and on-screen UI are intended to coexist naturally.  The user is presented game summaries, data visualizations, player stats, and fantasy sports information into a powerful unobtrusive sidekick.  Navigation is lean back and lightweight - like channel browsing.  The interaction model is casual.  'Information seeking' is replaced by 'relaxed exploration'. The value to users is personalized content augmented by relevant data by the press of a button.

As the Design Lead for Samsung Sports Experiences, my role was to create the UI framework, deliver the interaction design specifications and direct the visual and motion design of the service.
